Public meeting in Horná Potôò

On another public meeting today, this time in nearby Horná Potôò, we introduced the ongoing LIFE project to local inhabitants. Beside the basic project information, we also discussed our successes, failures and the progress of separate project activities. The participants were mostly hunters, former hunters or people with close ties to nature. They shared data of historical abundance of not just the Great Bustard alone but also other rare species. The project team keeps in touch with them for the future. At the end of the meeting, we distributed project promotion materials - T-shirts with the Great Bustard, stickers, posters and puzzles - for use and further distribution to local stakeholders.
