A new school contest on the Great Bustard

By a series of video projection Ohrozené krídla - Hľadanie krajiny we launched a new contest on the Great Bustard in both basic schools in Lehnice. Based on the previous contest and the knowledge learnt by students last year, we focus on the Great Bustard´s habitat this year. Pupils can enter the Where does the Great Bustard live contest with their own pictures - photos or drawings showing a real or potential habitat of this endangered bird in the surrounding region. The students were minded not to enter deeply into habitats and not to disturb other animals living there - detailed photography is not necessary, the overall composition of the photos count instead. Accompanying activities in both schools include a photo exhibition by renowned nature photographs and a workshop for young photographers. The closing date of the contest is February 11, 2008.
