The Great Bustard is back in SPA Lehnice

A female of the Great Bustard keeps returning to the fields of SPA Lehnice, for the third time this year already. Its first observation this year was made by a member of Lehnice Hunting Association on 15 April already. Our monitoring, however, registers its long-term presence from July 1, 2008. The bird likes the colza and is often found at the set-aside land and nearby grasslands. It also visits fields with low crops that are - thanks to our collaborative farmer partners - still plentiful in this region.
